  • Kindergarten Screenings - September 5 and 6

    The first day of school for kindergarten students will be on Thursday, September 7. On September 5 or 6 each kindergarten student will meet individually with their kindergarten teacher and complete a brief kindergarten screening. During the kindergarten orientation on August 30 parents will have an opportunity to sign-up for a 30-minute time block for either September 5 or September 6.

  • Home Visits for New Students in Grades 1-5: August 24 from Noon - 8:00 PM

    Davis Elementary is dedicated the academic and social success of all students! During the summer, Ms. Coles and Dr. Devitt, visit the home of grade 1-5 students new to Davis Elementary. The goal of these visits is to welcome the new students and their families to the Davis community. As part of the visit, students receive a welcome gift provided by the district and the Home and School Association. Ms. Coles and Dr. Devitt are also available to answer any questions about Davis and the upcoming school year. This year home visits are being scheduled for August 24. To schedule your home visit please sign up for a time window.

  • Remind App: A New Communication Tool from Home and School

    Would you like to receive text alert reminders for Davis Home and School events? For the upcoming school year the Davis Home and School Association will use the Remind App to send out notifications and reminders on upcoming Home and School events. These updates will be sent via text to your phone. Sign-up is optional. Information will still be sent from the school via Wednesday Express and e-Alerts.

  • After School Parenting Support Classes

    Monday Sept 18 - Nov 13: Led by Mr. Immerman and Ms. Ward! How would you like to take a class where you meet with other parents who face the same daily challenges that you do? How would you like to meet every Monday right here at Davis with Bob Immerman and Christi Ward, our two school counselors? How would you like to take advantage of free childcare for your Davis Student provided by volunteers from William Tennent High School?

  • Foreign Language Program

    Learn more about the language experience program offered by the Davis Home and School. This year, in addition to Spanish, Chinese will be offered ( a minimum of 6 students required to offer the program). Sessions are held on Thursday mornings before school from Oct. 12 - March 15.

  • District Transportation for Before and After School Childcare

    The District provides school bus transportation to a limited number of child care facilities. If you plan to use a pickup or drop-off location other than your home address, you must fill out a Childcare Form (available at all elementary schools) and submit this form so that the alternate transportation arrangements can be scheduled. A Childcare Form must be submitted each school year even if you are planning to use the same childcare arrangements as the previous school year.

  • Kindergarten: Informal Playground Meet and Greet Sponsored by Davis Home and School on August 30

    Incoming kindergarten students and their parents are invited to meet at the Davis playground for a casual get-together - No formal agenda or presentation, just a chance to meet some new friends in a casual setting. Wednesday, August 30 from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
