This December we'll be moving all staff and faculty email to Gmail. Gmail will also allow all students K-12 to get CSD email addresses. It will also allow us as a staff to not have to worry about storage issues (which is the main concern right now) because email will be in the cloud and Gmail gives unlimited storage capacity for school districts.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
When will the email conversion happen?
On December 23rd, 2016 we will begin the email migration from Exchange to Gmail. Throughout the week accounts will be moved over. You'll notice your Outlook inbox frozen in time when the conversion is complete. You will not lose access or any old emails from Outlook at this time, and your Calendar and contacts will also be frozen. At this point (after the conversion) you'll be able to access your current email, and send emails by logging on at Gmail.com with your centennialsd.org email address and current CSD Google password.
How will I access my email going forward after the conversion?
Your email will now be connected to your school Google Apps account. In the same way that you currently can access Google Drive, Docs, etc - you'll be able to access your email. The quickest way is to go to Gmail.com and log in with your centennialsd.org email address and current CSD Google password. There you will have access to all of your current and old email, as well as have the ability to send emails.
Can I still use Outlook on my school computer?
If you have a Windows PC or Laptop provided by Centennial School District, you'll be able to still use Outlook. After the conversion, we will put an icon on your school Windows computer for "Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook®" that will allow you to connect your new Gmail email, contacts, and calendar with Outlook. Here's a video showing just how easy this process is once it is available on your computer: https://youtu.be/_Zl7AVAAggY

How do I access email on my iPhone and/or iPad?
The best way after the conversion is to download the GMail App from the App Store. You can enter in your log on credentials and immediately get access to email (the same goes for downloading the Google Calendar App). The other option is to go to Settings > Mail > Add New Account --- Choose Gmail and enter your Google log on credentials. If you have questions about this you can call the Help Desk.
What about my Contacts?
Contacts will be transferred over in the migration and should populate in your new Gmail address book.
How do I access my Calendar?
The best way after the conversion is to go to calendar.google.com. There you will have access to your calendar that is connected to your CSD Gmail account. On your mobile device and/or iPad download the Google Calendar App from the App Store. You can enter in your log on credentials and immediately get access to your calendar. The other option is to go to Settings > Mail > Add New Account --- Choose Gmail and enter your Google log on credentials. This will import your mail and the accompanying calendar.
