Klinger and Davis Embody the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by Serving Others Through Kindness
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is not a day off or a day away from school/work. You may have heard people say, “It’s a day on, not a day off.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service.
Despite the pandemic challenges, many organizations carried on the spirit of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, and Klinger and Davis were not exempt.
Between the two schools, our students and families made and donated a whopping 1,500 snack bags to The Breathing Room Foundation, which supports families battling cancer.
Additionally, our students carved out time by serving their community and others through random, simple, acts of kindness, which also reaffirms our commitment to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In these trying times, it has never been more important for us to come together as one community. We thank our students and their families for making the 2022 Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service one of the best.
