MBIT Recognizes Public Health ProfessionalsThe Medical & Health Professionals and Culinary Arts & Science students teamed up to bake cookies for the Bucks County Health Department in honor of Public Health Thank You Day. The idea to recognize the Bucks County Health Department was initiated by the Health & Medical students with the Culinary Arts students selecting the recipe and assembling the ingredients. Together, these two classes worked to create individual gift bags filled with chocolate chip cookies that were delivered to Dr. David Damsker and his team by their teachers, Mrs. Lynda Moyer and Mr. Michael Stafford.

Public Health Thank You Day is the Monday before Thanksgiving. It is set aside to recognize public health professionals who work tirelessly every day to protect the health of all people and all communities. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought newfound attention to the importance of public health and the debt of gratitude we owe to all our public health professionals.

The staff and students at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology wanted to show their appreciation to the Bucks County Health Department for all they do under even the most trying of circumstances to protect and improve the health of all communities.
