8th-grade end of year celebrations

Thank you very much to everyone who shared your thoughts about our end of the year celebrations for our 8th-graders! After analyzing all of the input, we have a plan for how we are going to take an amazing tradition and make it even better to celebrate our 8th-graders as they move on to high school. The celebration will be split into two portions: 1) an in-school awards assembly for students, and 2) a move-up breakfast at The Fuge for 8th-graders and guests (2 guests per student). The breakfast will include a celebration of every 8th-grader with special recognition for major accomplishments. We look forward to a wonderful celebration and thank you to everyone who provided feedback.

On a final note, we want to let you know how kind your children are. While the middle school years can be challenging (and you may see and hear things at home that make you wonder who has taken over the mind of your child), we see the best of them here. Your children make us smile every day. They work hard, have fun, and - most importantly - are nice. We are blessed to have the opportunity to work with them every day.

With kindness,

Martin Hayes and Jim Ford
