Return to Headlines

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

We are finally here - ready to start our hybrid model. Whether you are remaining virtual, or returning in either Cohort A (last names A-L/Monday and Tuesday) or Cohort B (last names M-Z/Thursday and Friday), we are very excited for this next step. We’ve detailed important information and reminders for you in this message. Rest assured, we are ready and all of us are here to help all our students with this transition.

  • Getting to school:

    • If you are taking the bus, here’s how to find your bus information:

Go to

At the top of the home page, Select ‘Departments’

Select ‘Transportation’

Select ‘2020-21 Bus Schedules’

Click on the link to ‘

Enter your home address, zip code and school (Klinger MS)

Click ‘Search’ to find your child’s bus information

Be patient as the system takes some time to load.

Follow the bus driver’s directions for loading and unloading the bus. You must wear your mask. Once you arrive at Klinger, you’ll walk (try and maintain six feet of separation) into the building through the front door.

    • If you are a walker: just come in through the front door, starting at 7:45 a.m.

    • If you are dropping off: Drive around and drop off at the gym/auditorium entrance, starting at 7:45 a.m. Please do your best to arrive between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m.

  • Masks:

All students and staff are required to wear masks on buses and while at Klinger. We have mask breaks built into our day (morning, lunch, and afternoon). Here’s a link to the PA DOH FAQs for masks.

  • Where to go once you enter the building:

You will either go a) to the cafeteria to get a Grab n’ Go breakfast that you will take to your first period, day two class to eat, or b) straight to your first period, day two class. Friendly Klinger staff will be at the entrances and in the hallways assisting you to get to your destination.

  • Monday and Thursday will be SPIRIT days at Klinger - wear your Klinger gear and/or red and black.

  • Check out our Welcome back video with all your questions answered! A huge thank you to Cassidy, Chloe, Justin, Nicholas, and Mr. Ross.

  • Our school schedule next week:

  • Attendance:

Please remember to email: with any attendance questions or requests. This includes absences for any reason, early dismissals, and vacation requests.  The only way to excuse your child’s absences is to email

  • Meetings, Visitors, Dropping off items

We are doing as much virtually as we possibly can and significantly limiting people entering our building in order to provide a safe and healthy environment for everyone. All meetings will continue to take place virtually. Visitors will not be allowed in the building. Please also limit dropping off items for students during the day. Thank you for your cooperation.

  • No cell phones

As a reminder, we have a no cell phone rule. Students may only use their cell phones before and after school. Phones must be off and away between 8:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. Should you need to reach your child, please call our main office 215-364-5950 and we will assist.

  • Please remember to practice the COVID 5 every morning before coming to Klinger.

Do you have a temperature of greater than 100.4?

Do you have an altered taste or smell?

Have you been exposed to someone with a lab-confirmed case of COVID 19?

Are you awaiting test results of a recent COVID 19 test?

Do you have an unexplained cough or shortness of breath?

If you answer "yes" to any of these, stay home.

Thank you so much for a great first marking period. We look forward to this new model of instruction and are excited about seeing a number of our students in-person next week. For those who are continuing virtually, we also will continue to do our best for you every day. You will use the same schedule as our students who are in-person. Lunches are noted in Skyward. The letter next to the period indicates when students will have lunch.

  • Wednesday’s schedule:

Our schedule for Wednesday is remaining the same as it has been during our virtual model.

Thank you again for everything. We hope you have a great weekend and we look forward to next week!
