Dear Centennial Parents, Guardians, Community Members, Faculty, and Staff,
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) requires school districts to develop a Comprehensive Plan on a three-year cycle. Centennial’s 2026–2029 Comprehensive Plan is due for renewal by March 2026 and includes district priorities, goals, instructional strategies, and required state assurances, along with companion plans such as Gifted Education (Chapter 16), Induction (Chapter 49), and Professional Development (Act 48).
In Spring 2025, Centennial convened a Comprehensive Planning Steering Committee made up of faculty, staff, administrators, students, parents, community members, and partners. The committee and its subgroups worked collaboratively throughout Spring, Summer, and Fall 2025 to develop the draft Comprehensive Plan and required state reports for submission by March 31, 2026.
As part of PDE’s required 28-day public review period, this Thoughtexchange includes the following draft materials for feedback:
A one-page overview of the Comprehensive Plan
The full draft Comprehensive Plan
Draft Induction Plan (Chapter 49)
Draft Professional Development Plan (Act 48)
Draft Gifted Education Plan Assurances (Chapter 16)
We invite you to review these materials and share your feedback through this ThoughtExchange to support informed decision-making and community input.
This Thoughtexchange will remain open until Monday, February 9, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
